Power and Practicality: A 2024 GMC Acadia Buyer’s Guide

No other brand has found a way to blend the practicality and purpose that many consumers look for in their vehicles with sophistication and refinement like GMC. Merging the drive and ambition of Chevy with the regal qualities of Cadillac, many drivers have found GMC's offerings to be exceptional and unique, most notably its SUVs. Among the SUVs GMC offers, the GMC Acadia provides consumers with three rows of seating, generous storage capability, economical performance, and a discernible level of comfort and tech-savviness that the modern consumer looks for. If you’re in the market for an SUV that checks all of the boxes, then a GMC Acadia for sale is the perfect answer. We’ve crafted this useful buying guide that can assist you in choosing which features will suit you best. more The Acadia's Standard 2.5L Engine The GMC Acadia is divided into three different trims, each one geared towards a particular type of driver. The base trim, known as Elevation, is ideal for drivers interested in saving money on up-front costs, particularly with its starting MSRP of $42,600. The two upper trims of the GMC Acadia are geared towards off-roading capability and unsurpassed luxury. The AT4 is equipped with standard AWD and skid plates, both of which are fundamental for any driver who prefers their journeys to take place away from the confines of civilization. The Denali, a trim that’s become synonymous with luxury, is perfect for drivers with a penchant for life's finer things. No matter which trip of the Acadia you decide on, you’ll be guaranteed the same exceptional performance across the board, thanks to the sole powertrain that GMC equips the vehicle with. The powertrain of the Acadia consists of a turbocharged 2.5L four-cylinder engine, which also powers its sibling, the Chevy Traverse. The four-cylinder has plenty to offer in terms of performance, with 328 hp and the capacity to generate 326 lb-ft of torque. The Acadia is also adept at towing as well, with a maximum towing capacity of 5,000 lbs when properly equipped. A Spacious Interior for Passengers and Cargo The GMC fleet has a well-established reputation for bringing refinement and sophistication to the practicality and performance that GM has always been known for. Before we dive into the differences between the trims regarding comfort and tech-savvy items that many drivers seek out in their SUVs, we felt it was important to establish some of the more practical matters on the interior that make the GMC Acadia such an exceptional vehicle. The 2024 edition of the Acadia benefits from an interior design that features a bench seat for the third row and captain’s chairs for the second, allowing for a comfortable commute with seating up to seven. The size of the Acadia, which was expanded for the 2024 model year, allows for exceptional storage capacity. Even when all seven seats are occupied, the Acadia offers 23 cu.ft. of storage, which is still more than the average trunk side of a four-door sedan (15 cu.ft.). With the third row folded down, cargo space more than doubles to 57 cu.ft. of room, and for those moments that require the most room, 98 available cu.ft. exist behind the driver and passenger seat with the second row removed. Depending on the level of luxury you seek, you might want to consider the Denali trim. While all variations of the GMC Acadia are comfortable and refined, the Denali trim offers a leather interior for that aura of sophistication that most people associate with high-end luxury sedans. Technology for the Modern Driver The modern driver expects more from their vehicle of choice. More than simply having an effective powertrain, many seek out tech-savvy items that facilitate an enjoyable driving experience. The 2024 GMC Acadia has many standard and available features that entertain, inform, and allow you to accomplish various tasks. All three trims come with a 15-inch infotainment screen that provides access to Apple and Android products and has Google built-in for access to music, maps, and much more. Active Noise Canceling ensures that the engine sounds and road noise stays far removed from your travel. With a 12-speaker setup from Bose, you’ll be able to enjoy pristine audio quality during travel. The tech-savvy offerings that the GMC Acadia can be equipped with aren’t limited to staying informed and entertained while you’re on the road. The GMC Acadia comes standard with Adaptive Cruise Control, and all trims can be equipped with Super Cruise, GM’s semi-autonomous hands-free driving technology. For those who are looking to expand the capabilities of the GMC Acadia further, there are a number of available packages that can do just that. Choose From a Variety of Available Packages Packages are a great way to unlock various accessories and amenities that can outfit your GMC Acadia to its fullest potential. GMC offers various options to make any trim suited to your needs. Luxury Package The Luxury Package is ideal for drivers who want access to some of the features of the Denali trim without purchasing one outright. The luxury package includes heated rear outboard seats and an 8-inch head-up display, and drivers with the AT4 trim are treated to heated and ventilated driver and front passenger seats. Trailering Package Much like the Luxury Package, the Trailering Package comes standard on the Denali trim, but drivers with the Elevation and AT4 versions of the Acadia can utilize it to unlock towing technology and capability. The trailering package has everything you need, including a 220-amp alternator and a heavy-duty cooling system to facilitate the Acadia’s 5,000-lb towing capacity. Super Cruise Package In addition to offering luxury and performance, GMC has a long-standing reputation for providing safety and driving assistance features that are far ahead of the competition. The Super Cruise package, available on all three trims of the GMC Acadia, provides a host of features that enhance the driving experience like never before. Super Cruise A hands-free, semi-autonomous driving technology suite with thousands of pre-programmed roads from all over North America, ideal for the reduction of driver fatigue over long distances. Driver Attention Assist Another way to reduce driver fatigue is to monitor steering patterns, and alerts are issued if there are discrepancies in your driving. Enhanced Automatic Parking Assist Parking can be difficult, and when you’re behind the wheel of a GMC Acadia, every little bit helps. With Enhanced Automatic Parking Assist, getting into that tight space, whether it’s on the street or in a parking garage, just got easier. Choosing the Version of the 2024 GMC Acadia That Works Best for You Choosing the right version of the 2024 GMC Acadia might seem difficult, but with three unique offerings that are geared toward specific driver needs, it’s much easier than you think. If you’re a budget-conscious driver who looks for exceptional quality at an affordable price, the Elevation offers you a vast array of items and economical performance. If you favor your weekend activities to take place far away from civilization and off of the pavement, the AT4 trim is off-road ready, and finally, for those who have a penchant for the finer things in life, the Denali trim, a symbol of luxury and sophistication, gives you everything you could ever want and then some. No matter what you decide on, you’re getting the very best with the 2024 GMC Acadia.

The Top 7 Features of the 2024 GMC Acadia

So you’re shopping for an all-new 2024 GMC Acadia for sale, but you aren’t entirely sure if it’s right for you. What you need are some tantalizing reasons to look closer. So, let’s look at its top features, giving you details on some of the Acadia’s best bits in this third-generation outing. more These are features that will likely lure you in on the search for the perfect trim. But before you start the shopping process, you’ll want a rundown of the noteworthy elements of the thoroughly revamped 2024 Acadia and why this particular GMC model might be the best option for a well-rounded three-row SUV. #1. Improved Towing Capacity Part of the overhaul for the third-gen Acadia involves an extended wheelbase. Thanks to the reinforced frame, this gives the SUV a lot more stability. In addition to a new base powertrain and longer wheelbase, the structural changes have enabled the Acadia to increase its towing capacity from the outgoing model year, reaching 5,000 lbs. This is a significant upgrade, as the 2023 Acadia had a base towing capacity of 3,500 lbs but topped out at 4,000 lbs when properly equipped. With the 2024 Acadia, you have 20% more towing capacity over the outgoing model year’s top-end tow rating and up to 30% more capacity over the base tow rating for the outgoing model year. This gives you a lot more variety and versatility in what you can tow, especially for those interested in a large SUV for towing boats, smaller vehicles, campers, or other equipment for recreational purposes. #2. More Cargo Capacity The three-row Acadia has received a significant update in its cargo capacity for the new generation. The Acadia already offered some impressive cargo capacity, with up to 79 cu.ft. of space with the two rear rows folded down in the 2023 model and earlier. The 2024 Acadia now offers up to 97.5 cu.ft. of cargo volume when the two rear rows are folded down, giving you a significantly extra amount of space to store your cargo or belongings. However, having approximately 18% additional cargo capacity to store your belongings is only part of the benefit of owning the 2024 Acadia. Another upgrade is in the way you can store cargo on the exterior. Thanks to the standard roof-mounted side rails, you can add cargo racks to store items on the roof. With the extended wheelbase and longer frame, it also means having more space to store items on the roof, which is super useful if you plan on using the Acadia for camping trips, road trips, or taking the family on outdoor adventures where the extra space may be needed. #3. Putting Out High Power As part of the new generation, the 2024 Acadia has received a significant bump up in its performance profile; this is despite going from offering two powertrains in the previous generation to only offering one powertrain for the new model year. Basically, this is a case where less is actually more. The overhauled 2.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder provides more horsepower and torque than the outgoing model year, making up to 328 hp and 326 lb-ft of torque. If you enjoy having a three-row SUV that can move when you need it to, seek the 2024 Acadia. GMC has engineered it to be powerful enough to tow and haul what you need but also responsive enough to keep you moving when you need to cross long distances with full occupancy. Compared to the previous generation Acadia, the 2024 model has nearly 5% more horsepower and nearly 17% more torque. It’s a significant upgrade for those who want good performance married to a great design. #4. Larger Infotainment Screen Infotainment access makes things easier all around, whether it’s for navigation, vehicle health information, scheduling maintenance, or accessing your favorite media and apps. The 2024 Acadia has a much larger infotainment screen as part of the new generation’s tech, offering an impressive 15-inch touchscreen. This gives you so much more to work with than the previous model. The latest Acadia of the outgoing generation had an 8-inch touchscreen across the board, and the third-gen Acadia has nearly doubled that size. This gives you so much more real estate to utilize, as well as the inclusion of wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You also get Google Built-In for enhanced voice recognition, hands-free calls and messaging, connected services for vehicle health and maintenance reminders, and connected apps for navigation, climate control, and cameras. #5. Technological Conveniences The infotainment suite has a lot of great features, such as the nine available camera views for driving and trailering, but there’s a separate suite of driver-focused tech to make the Acadia far more convenient. For instance, you have an 11-inch digital driver display cluster with customizable profiles, which you can use not only for monitoring vehicle telemetry but also for weather conditions. It makes it easy to keep track of important information without feeling over-encumbered with data since you can choose to see what you want and where you want it. See also the available head-up display. This is a great tech convenience because the 8-inch HUD enables you to maintain eyesight on important telemetry without having to take your eyes off the road. This gives you ease of mind when traveling as you get all the info you need without having to look down at the gauges or mess with the infotainment touchscreen. It’s an all-in-one convenience for those who need it. #6. Many Driver Assistance Features The GMC Pro Safety suite for the 2024 Acadia is easily one of the best features of this model-year outing. Why? Because it comes with more than 15 standard safety features. All of them are built right into each of the trim grades, so no matter which one you go with, you have a robust selection of safety features to keep you or your family secure on the road. You have many expected aids, such as enhanced automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian and bicyclist braking blind zone steering assist, forward collision alert, and an HD rear-vision camera, so you never have to worry about your rear view being obstructed by the cabin. Other useful safety features include IntelliBeam high beams, rear cross-traffic braking, rear pedestrian alert, automatic intersection emergency braking, side bicyclist alert, and lane-keeping assistance with lane departure warnings. There are even more subtle features, such as traffic sign recognition and rear park assist, plus a safety alert for the rear seats, which are great to have when parking and exiting your vehicle, lest you forget something in the back. #7. Super Cruise Hands-Free Driving One of the absolute best available features for the 2024 GMC Acadia is Super Cruise. This tool is a step far beyond adaptive cruise control by enabling semi-autonomous, hands-free driving. This lets your three-row SUV do all of the driving for you, removing a lot of the hassle and stress of getting from A to Z. With hundreds of thousands of miles of compatible highways across the United States and Canada, as well as frequent over-the-air updates, Super Cruise grants a safe and unique way of traveling that dives into the future of automotive automation. Combined with so many of the other upgrades and improvements for the 2024 model year, Super Cruise makes a compelling case for buying a brand-new GMC Acadia.

Why the GMC Sierra 1500 Could Be Your Ideal Truck

In the congested truck market, it can be hard to determine which model fits your needs best—and the first step in your shopping doesn’t begin with the brand or model you should choose. Instead, you need to explore what you’ll use your truck for and then start looking at the various brands. If you’re unsure or want your new truck to fit a variety of needs, you’ll need to choose one that is both powerful with outstanding performance, comfortable, and convenient. While that might seem like a tall order, we think you can find the perfect match when you shop with our team at LaFontaine Buick GMC St. Clair, your local used GMC dealer. more First, much like GMC, the LaFontaine Automotive Group has been in the industry for years. During that time, we’ve helped many of our community members find the vehicle that can successfully get them from point A to point B and everywhere in between. Second, you’ll find that our team is friendly and knowledgeable, willing to answer any questions you might have to help you narrow your selection. Third, we have a large inventory of GMC Sierras in stock—and although we might be biased, we think the Sierra is one of the most well-rounded trucks in its class. What Makes the Sierra 1500 So Great? GMC is one of the longest-running brands in the American auto industry, and its ability to craft a truck that is powerful, efficient, and functional is well documented. Regarding the GMC Sierra, it was introduced in 1988, along with its sibling in the truck world, the Chevy Silverado. Even though the two were built on the same platform, the Sierra quickly stood out thanks to its two-tone painted exterior. The first generation of the Sierra ran for 12 years, improving and adapting to consumers’ demands with each passing year. When the second generation arrived, it was built on a brand-new platform and offered a variety of cab sizes and bed lengths in its quest to continue meeting those demands. Today, the GMC Sierra is in its fifth generation, which started in 2019. When looking for a used option, it’s hard to beat this latest version, especially when you take a closer look at everything it offers. Power and Performance Even if you’re not using your truck for work, you still want it to rank highly when it comes to power and performance. After all, the ability to do big things is one of the main reasons drivers choose a truck—and believe us when we say that you can certainly do big things behind the wheel of a Sierra. First, you have your choice of engine options. In fact, the Sierra offers more engine options than any other truck in its class. When shopping the fifth generation, however, you will find that both the 4.3L V6 and the 5.3L V8 were cut from the lineup starting in 2022. You’ll also find that the Sierra 1500 can tow up to 13,200 lbs and maintain a payload capacity of up to 2,240 lbs. That is more than enough to haul the family camper or boat to the lake for the weekend or use the Sierra to get your toughest jobs done at work. Along with the engine options and towing power, you’ll also find impressive horsepower, with the base turbocharged 2.7L offering 310 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque. The two V8 options push the envelope even further, giving you 355 and 420 hp, respectively. With all this power and performance, you might think the Sierra would struggle regarding efficiency. However, the EPA estimates for the fifth generation were last calculated at 23 MPG in the city and 30 MPG on the highway, depending on your powertrain selection. Another perk of the Sierra 1500 that falls under the performance category is its ability to head off-road. While you might not have had this skill on your “must-have” list, it’s good to know you can go wherever you want, whenever you want. It’s worth mentioning as well that while each Sierra 1500 has the power to take the road less traveled, you’ll also find specific trims that are built for the trails. For instance, the AT4 trim level—which debuted in 2020—has a two-inch suspension lift, advanced spool-valve dampers, extra skid plates, off-road tires, and more. Need more off-road prowess? Two years after it debuted, GMC introduced the AT4X, which takes off-road to a whole other level. Comfort and Convenience When you think about driving a truck, the first thing that comes to mind probably isn’t comfort. However, great strides have been made in the past few years to help make today’s trucks just as comfortable as any other vehicle on the road. That means that you and the family can both feel at home in the Sierra, even during long road trips. This is especially true as you move up the trim levels, with the top-tier Denali Ultimate offering open-pore wood trim, leather accents, and a 16-way power seat with massage functions. You’ll also enjoy plenty of storage cubbies and a large 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, including a head-up display that gives you real-time information without taking your eyes off the road. On the convenience side of things, the Sierra offers the MultiPro tailgate, with seven unique functions that make unloading and loading easier than ever before. Whether the Primary Gate Load Stop is engaged to ensure cargo doesn’t slide out of the back of the bed or you lower the Inner Gate to get closer to the floor of the bed, there are a number of ways to make the tailgate work for you. When shopping our inventory, you’ll find the MultiPro tailgate available on certain trim levels, beginning with the 2023 model year. Additionally, the available class-exclusive carbon-fiber-reinforced cargo bed, which debuted in 2019, is built to handle whatever you throw its way. Finally, advanced technology makes getting to your destination easy thanks to the available 13.4-inch touchscreen that seamlessly connects to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with built-in Google software that makes it simple to find directions and more. Also, when choosing top-tier trim levels, you can enjoy the benefits of hands-free driving. Super Cruise, GMC’s hands-free driving tool, is compatible with tens of thousands of miles of highway all over North America, allowing you to enjoy a more engaging and relaxing drive. The system also comes with advanced features that increase safety and peace of mind. Check Out the GMC Sierra 1500 Today As you can see, the fifth generation of the GMC Sierra 1500 is a well-rounded truck that offers a number of amenities to help you get through your day. It’s also backed by one of the oldest brands in the industry and our factory-trained technicians, who have access to the latest tools and genuine parts to keep your Sierra up and running for years. If you’re in the market for a used truck, it’s hard to go wrong with the Sierra. You can view our inventory online or in person at LaFontaine Buick GMC St. Clair. Either way, we are here to assist you in finding the right truck for your needs.

Blue 2024 Buick Encore GX Avenir parked on a driveway

The Buick Encore GX: A Small Vehicle With Big Adventure Energy

One of the biggest perks of living in Port Huron is access to all of the stunning public outdoor recreational areas and world-renowned tourist attractions. With 14 public parks, two public beaches, and, of course, the shorelines of Lake Huron itself, there are so many opportunities to take in fresh air, socialize, and exercise outdoors. That’s why we want to make sure that drivers in this region know about the Buick Encore GX. more This sophisticated subcompact SUV is equal parts adventurous and refined, just like Port Huron itself. If you’re looking for a Buick dealer near Port Huron that sells this terrific crossover SUV, we hope you’ll visit LaFontaine Buick GMC St. Clair. We know this is the ideal vehicle for taking advantage of this beautiful area, so let’s take a look at why… Great Amounts of Cargo Space Don’t let the small dimensions of the 2024 Encore GX fool you, as you can create up to 50.2 cu.ft. of cargo space by putting the seats down—and we don’t just mean the rear seats, as you can put the front passenger seat down flat, too. This can create space for extra-long items, like a paddle board for taking out on the water or a rug you didn’t expect to fall in love with while antiquing. Not many SUVs let you put down the front passenger seat, so this feature really makes this small SUV stand out and can be a selling point for those who worry a five-seater won’t have the cargo space they need for long items. If you only need a little extra cargo space, utilize the split-folding 60/40 rear seats. You can put down just one of the back seats for some extra space, two rear seats for a little more space, or the whole rear row. There are so many ways to create the room you need in the Encore GX. That’s not even to mention the reconfigurable cargo floor. You can raise or lower it, making room for taller items (like foldable bikes) when you need them. So, between the fold-flat front passenger seat and the lowerable cargo floor, you have two ways to store long items. A Hands-Free Power Liftgate When a shopping trip at Kroger or Sam’s Club was larger than planned, you might approach your trunk with your arms full. While St. Clair folks are notoriously friendly and ready to lend a hand, there isn’t always someone around to assist. Luckily, there’s an available hands-free power liftgate. If your vehicle is equipped with it, it will sense your keyfob on your body. Then, just do a swift motion with your foot beneath the bumper, and it will open automatically, so you don’t have to put your belongings down to manually pop the trunk. An Available Panoramic Moonroof Have visitors from out of town? You know they’ll want to see the sights. So when you’re playing tour guide, showing off the amazing spots in Port Huron—like the dozen-plus on the National Register of Historic Places—they’ll love getting a comprehensive view through the panoramic moonroof. With so many destinations to explore in this city, there won’t be time to hop out of the car to explore each one on foot, but the moonroof still provides views of the sights! Solid Towing Figures Plan on tackling the Lake Huron Circle Tour? You might need to pull over to rest in a camper or enjoy the water more intimately via a boat. Luckily, the Encore GX can tow up to 1,000 lbs, so you can drag a vessel that you will use to enjoy the lake even more behind your vehicle. Here’s something that might surprise you: the Encore GX can not only tow, but it can be towed. When equipped with all-wheel drive, the Encore GX can attach to the back of a recreational vehicle and be towed. We love this feature because we know many Port Huron drivers want to explore the Great Lakes in an RV but also want the freedom to drive more narrow streets once at their destinations. So bringing the Encore GX along gives you the option to park the RV and head off in your small SUV to places your RV can’t go. Drive Mode Selector Want the freedom to depart from paved roads from time to time? Maybe you want the confidence to keep driving cleanly when the roads get wet. Luckily, the 2024 Encore GX boasts a drive mode selector, so you can select between modes like Off-Road and Sport to adjust performance and handling dynamics and gain better command on the road you’re on. This is paired with available all-wheel drive, giving you the traction you need on rainy days. QuietTuning Technology Whether you’re running errands in town with young ones in the back or you’re hitting the road, rear-seat passengers might want to take naps. They’ll do so easily in the Encore GX thanks to the QuietTuning technology with Active Noise Cancellation. This vehicle has been designed with elements that deaden sound, creating excellent insulation from exterior noises. Plus, it even monitors the cabin for unwanted sound, releasing opposite frequencies to cancel out road and engine noises. The result is a wonderfully serene cabin. Phenomenal Fuel Economy Since there is so much to explore in and around Port Huron, it’s easy to go through a tank of gas quickly. Luckily, the EPA gives the 2024 Encore GX 30 MPG combined (based on 30 MPG in the city and 31 MPG on the highway) in front-wheel drive. So when you take off on I-69 or I-94, you won’t need to make too many stops at the pump. The fuel-efficient powertrain options don’t sacrifice performance, though. Both have solid horsepower figures and will respond to requests for acceleration rapidly. White 2024 GMC Acadia AT4 parked near a lake

Check Out the New 2024 GMC Acadia

Though you may have recently spied an Acadia at a GMC dealer near Port Huron like ourselves, you may not have realized that this isn’t the Acadia of the past; in fact, GMC calls it “the all-new” Acadia. Several differences between older models and this one come together to create a bigger, better Acadia, perfect for family outings to Blue Water River Walk or Pine Grove Park, your daily commute, running errands, or taking your spouse out to eat at places like Freighters Eatery & Taproom. The possibilities open up when you’ve got the Acadia to take you anywhere you want, any time you’re able. more The Acadia was first designed for families that appreciate comfort, with plenty of space to get settled in for rides long or short. Lots of standard safety features mean your family will be kept safe while on the road, and with the latest technology, they’ll stay entertained instead of resorting to the dreaded “Are we there yet?” every ten minutes. If you’ve been looking for a replacement for your older family vehicle, or you’ve decided you want something stylish that can haul and tow, the 2024 GMC Acadia may be the perfect fit for you. What Is the GMC Acadia? When you look for a family vehicle, do you look for a smaller SUV, a larger SUV, or something in the middle? Moving from one size to another has its benefits. Larger SUVs have more room to stretch out, with additional space in the back for cargo. They also have a higher hauling and towing rating, which means you could equip your SUV to pull a camper, trailer, or recreational vehicle. However, there are also benefits to driving a smaller SUV: they’re easier to park, get better fuel economy, and can still haul and tow. However, the GMC Acadia is the best of both worlds. The 2024 Acadia is a midsize SUV, larger than its predecessor by almost a foot and rapidly approaching the length of the full-size GMC Yukon. The Acadia is more than a regular midsize SUV, though; it’s larger, bolder, and more powerful, capable of taking you, your family, and all the equipment necessary to your favorite campground, theme park, or other special event. Its looks have been elevated to show off its wide stance, streamlined body, and many other improvements. The Acadia is your ticket to paradise, whether you’re on the way to lunch at the Raven Cafe or you’re taking friends and family to the Fort Gratiot Lighthouse. During the ride, you and your passengers will be awed by the Acadia’s smooth handling, quiet ride, and spacious interior. How It Bests the Competition With highly esteemed competitors like the Volkswagen Atlas and the Ford Explorer, what can the GMC Acadia offer you that outshines its rivals? GMC’s answer is “Plenty.” The redesigned, updated Acadia has comfortable, wide seats for seven or eight people, with an additional 24% max cargo volume. Need to haul something big? Put the seats down and revel in how much space there is. You’ll be as safe as can be with over fifteen standard safety and driver assistance features, which means you’ll have help navigating the highway and city streets. Looking for something a little more exciting? How about the fact that the newest Acadia is the most off-road-ready version yet? There are plenty of places around Point Huron to explore off-road, whether you’re interested in hiking, camping, fishing, or hunting. Looking for more road-trip-friendly features? The 15.0-inch infotainment center allows you to listen to your favorite podcasts and playlists without having to squint to see what’s next. All trim levels have the option to include a power sunroof as well so that everyone can enjoy the natural light, and if you’re interested in trying out the latest Super Cruise hands-free driving tool, you can add that, too. What You Get With the Acadia Every Acadia now comes standard with a turbocharged 2.5L four-cylinder engine capable of producing up to 328 hp. With great power comes great responsibility, and the Acadia measures up rather well, able to tow up to 5,000 lbs, which means you can tow your boat, toy trailer, or camper to the lake for a weekend getaway or for summer vacation. You’ll also have room to store your equipment in the Acadia, due to more cargo space and the large storage bin that sits directly beneath the floor of the cargo area. Packing and unpacking are a cinch due to all of this extra storage space. The AT4 is Acadia’s off-road option, and the Denali is the top-of-the-line luxury trim. With the Denali, you’ll sit comfortably on leather seating as you admire the chrome and wood trim. A 12-speaker Bose stereo system provides excellent sound quality, and for those hot summer days and freezing winter nights, the first two rows come with ventilated and heated seats. Of course, the base trim also has plenty to offer, including the 15.0-inch vertical infotainment center, detection sensors for both pedestrians and bicyclists, and an additional seat over its higher trim siblings. GMC’s Promise The Acadia is the newest vehicle to make good on GMC’s promise of providing high-quality, powerful vehicles. GMC vows that the Acadia is more spacious as well, delivering more front-row legroom than any midsize SUV on the market today. The optional Super Cruise tool works on over 400,000 miles of road in North America and can assist you with automatic lane changing and trailering, which can be quite strenuous on long journeys. GMC promises to make driving easier, more enjoyable, and comfortable, no matter the length of your trip. GMC also promises that you’ll always know what’s around you, whether to the side, the front, or the back, with up to nine available camera views. You won’t have a blind spot anymore because there’s always a camera keeping an eye out. You’ll be able to drive with more confidence, thereby decreasing the stress of long drive times. Whether you’re interested in the GMC Acadia because of its size, storage capacity, power, tech, off-road capabilities, or hauling and towing specs, it will impress you over and over with peak performance and a myriad of helpful features. Get Your GMC Acadia Today! There are a multitude of helpful features with enough changes to make the Acadia look completely different from the past. It’s a vehicle of the future, after all, and GMC promises to continue improving and innovating to provide drivers like you with the best experience possible. There’s plenty to love about the 2024 GMC Acadia, whether you’re taking friends to Lynch’s Irish Tavern for a night out or you’re loading up the family to show them the sights around Port Huron, like taking part in a scavenger hunt or renting a pontoon boat for the day. The GMC Acadia promises to deliver a truly unique experience with its new look, redesigned interior, and beefy powertrain. You won’t need to baby this vehicle; you can go the distance, get dirty, and do the work you need to get done. You can find the GMC Acadia here at LaFontaine Buick GMC St. Clair, so what are you waiting for? Drop by for a visit, speak with an associate, take a test drive, and be prepared to fall in love with the all-new 2024 GMC Acadia.

Blue 2024 Buick Envista Avenir parked near a Buick dealer

Three Standard Safety Features You’ll Love in the 2024 Buick Envista

Buick’s highly-anticipated Envista has finally been released, and we’re so excited to show our customers all that this compact SUV has to offer. We can’t believe how many impressive standard and available features are on the Envista, especially for its low MSRP; its base-level Preferred, performance-oriented Sport Touring, and luxury Avenir trim all sit well below the $30k marker—but you’d never guess it, based on the sophisticated styling of this model. more While it’s a sure good looker, we’d like to highlight some of the great safety features that come standard on the Envista, meaning you’ll get them no matter which trim you choose. As a Buick dealer who helps drivers of all budgets and walks of life, we know how the Envista’s low price point makes it an attractive option for young drivers on a budget—and, since young drivers are some of the most in need of driver assistance technology, we think the Envista’s marriage of terrific safety features and a low price tag is worth raving about. Teen Driver Mode Teen Driver technology is not unique to the Envista; it’s not even that new, as General Motors has been installing it in its vehicles since 2015. However, we didn’t know for certain if it would be available in the all-new Envista, so we were delighted to see that it was. In fact, it comes standard on all trims! Here’s a refresher on GM’s Teen Driver technology. Set Speed Limits & Alerts Every parent worries that their teen driver speeds—and their worries are warranted. The CDC reports that teen drivers are the most likely age group to speed. Going over the speed limit isn’t safe for anyone, but it can be particularly dangerous for young drivers who still don’t have a lot of command over their vehicles or know how to react when their handling gets out of their control. The Teen Driver technology in the Envista lets drivers set both alerts and limits for the speed of their vehicle. You can set a speed alert between 40 and 75 mph; if your teen driver exceeds the set speed, they’ll receive a visual alert on the driver information center and an audible alert encouraging them to slow down. If you aren’t sure a warning will be enough, you can even limit how fast the vehicle is capable of going using the speed limiter feature; when activated, it won’t allow the vehicle to accelerate past 85 mph. Obviously, as a parent, you hope your child never pushes this limit, but you’ll feel more at ease knowing that they can’t, even if they want to. Limit Distractions Teens love to blast their music when they drive—but when the volume is too loud, they might not hear incoming sirens and can just be too distracted from what’s happening on the road, like that sedan that’s looming in their blind spot as they’re about to merge. You can use Teen Driver technology to limit the volume of the paired device. Your teen driver will have to keep their audio entertainment at a reasonable volume, which will hopefully encourage them to concentrate more on the road. Driver Report Card The Teen Driver technology has an in-vehicle report card that shows you stats like the distance driven and maximum speed reached. So you might not get to ride along with your teen every day, but you can learn about their driving habits after they take the car out, and then you can talk to them about improving their driving. Buckle-to-Drive Now that your teen is all grown up, you aren’t there to tell them to wear their seatbelt, but the Envista can do that for you. The Buckle-to-Drive feature prohibits the vehicle from shifting out of ‘Park’ for 20 seconds after the brake pedal is pressed if the driver’s seatbelt is not on. In the 2024 Envista, the radio will even remain muted until the front seat occupants have buckled their seatbelts to minimize distractions! Hill Start Assist Moving from a parked position into the drive position when on a hill is a tricky maneuver that even experienced drivers can struggle with. It can be even more challenging for new drivers, who aren’t accustomed to worrying about their vehicle rolling while on an incline. The 2024 Buick Envista has standard Hill Start Assist to take some of the stress out of this maneuver. Here’s how it works: When you are stopped while traveling downhill, and you take your foot off the brake to press the gas, the Envista will keep the brakes engaged for a moment while you make the change, preventing the vehicle from rolling downhill. It will release once you press on the gas. Feeling your vehicle rolling downhill can be a scary moment, so have fewer of those moments with Hill Start Assist. StabiliTrak Electronic Stability Control Hopefully, you or your young driver never have to practice an emergency maneuver. However, near-collisions happen every day and are particularly common among new drivers. Luckily, the 2024 Envista has its StabiliTrak Electronic Stability Control System with Traction Control. This system uses sensors to monitor steering wheel activity and each wheel. If it detects a potential loss of control, it activates, making torque and brake adjustments to keep the driver on the intended path. Put simply, in a crisis, it keeps your vehicle moving in the direction you intended and can prevent you from skidding. No parent wants to think of a situation where their teen needs to rely on this system, but you’ll feel calmer knowing that it’s there. Parents and New Drivers Feel Safer With the 2024 Buick Envista You wouldn’t know it by looking at it, but the Envista—with its striking body lines, diamond grille, and sleek headlights—is a budget-friendly option. As such, it’s really popular among parents looking for that first perfect vehicle for a newly licensed teen, or among young adults looking for that great vehicle for their first real job. Any time we bring in a low-priced vehicle like the Envista, we know it will attract young drivers, so we start assessing the safety features we know they’ll be using. We’re really impressed with the standard safety features of the Envista. We feel confident that parents gifting this model to their teens will feel better sending new drivers out on the roads, knowing about the safety features of this vehicle. If you’d like to know about the full suite of safety features or just aren’t sure which trim is right for you, pay us a visit at LaFontaine Buick GMC St. Clair. We carry every Envista trim and have a well-educated staff that knows all there is to know about the lineup. We would love to get St. Clair County drivers behind the wheel of the stunning and safe Envista. New to the Buick lineup this year, the Envista is creating a lot of buzz and is a worthy addition to the Buick family that we’d love to introduce you to. Once you’ve selected your trim, our friendly finance team will be glad to assist you in selecting your payment package. Visit us and check out the Envista today.

Safety, Cargo, Convenience, Oh My There is a good reason that the SUV has so quickly risen to the top of the automotive “food chain,” and that reason is its adaptability. With its spacious design and flexible seating arrangements, the SUV excels at a task that once belonged to the minivan. The Terrain Denali comfortably seats five, with a roomy backseat that can adapt to your needs. The rear row offers fold-flat technology, allowing you to seamlessly switch between seating for your guests or cargo space for your stuff. The Hands-Free Liftgate proves that the Terrain Denali can hold its own against whatever minivan comes its way. Safety is another key factor in the SUV’s rise to fame due to its size and the vast array of safety features they are equipped with. The Denali is well-equipped with safety features, providing ample coverage from front to back. GMC Pro Safety Plus comes standard on the Denali trim, featuring A to Z safety programs. Automatic Emergency Braking, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and many other programs work together to keep you and your loved ones safe and secure. The Denali even comes with a head-up display, which conveniently and safely displays essential information on the front windshield, keeping you looking ahead. The Adaptable Sophistication Of The GMC Terrain Denali With so many SUVs on the market, it is not always easy to stand out. Each automotive brand is continually working to outdo the others, but sometimes, it isn’t about being better than the competition; when you are really good, sometimes it is about just being better than you were before. GMC is continually improving their brand, growing, evolving, and adapting to the needs of a changing market. The refined yet bold GMC Terrain Denali is the best version of itself, offering a truly remarkable experience for anyone who wants to explore St.Clair in SUV style. Enjoy A Cookout with the Six-Function MultiPro Tailgate The 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 has the manufacturer’s Six-Function MultiPro Tailgate, a versatile tailgate with six useful positions for a variety of purposes. It’s especially great for cookouts at the great parks around St. Clair. Easily transport portable grills in the tailgate, along with all of your ingredients and something to drink. If you’re preparing food directly in the bed, you can fold down the inner gate to stand seven to nine inches closer to the bed for better access to your culinary creations. Turn the tailgate into a prep station, where friends can assemble their burgers and hotdogs with all their favorite toppings. One of the most tailgate-worthy features has to be the available KICKER outdoor audio system built into the tailgate. This 100-watt sound system comes standard on the Denali and AT4X trims and lets you stream your favorite music at your cookouts, without the need to bring external speakers. Drive the Denali to Detroit If you need to drive to Detroit frequently, consider the Denali trim. This luxury trim will make that commute down the I-94 a little more enjoyable. It has a 12-speaker Bose sound system, a massive touchscreen, and a huge driver information screen to make your trip easier and more comfortable. Plus, it gets heated and ventilated 16-way power front seats with a massage function. Get your seating position just right for long drives and let the massage function melt away tension. You might not want to leave the truck once you get where you’re going. Also available on the Denali trim is Super Cruise, GMC’s hands-free driving technology. It can take over braking, accelerating, and lane changing on over 400,000 miles of compatible freeways in the US and Canada. This can provide drivers a little break on long drives (however, you should always keep your eyes on the road, even when using Super Cruise). Ample Storage for Busy Days St. Clair has been increasingly recognized as an excellent place to raise a family, thanks to its reasonable cost of living and high safety ranking. If you’re tackling busy family life in this region, you might like all of the storage compartments in the 2024 GMC Sierra 1500. Available rear under-seat storage gives you a place to store valuables like laptops or smartphones. If your kids are working on homework projects in the vehicle, they can easily conceal their devices when you make a stop at the grocery store. An available center console storage gives drivers a place to keep essentials, like sunglasses, snacks, or phones. Finally, a large lower lockable glove box and upper glove box give you even more places to stash away valuables. Behind the front seats, you can get rear seatback storage. These include two compartments ideal for keeping things like charging cords and magazines.
